WRT160NL ADD USB HUB STORAGE LINK

The USB port on the Linksys wrt160nl wireless n router
, called STORAGE LINK, does not seem to support the addition of a USB hub. My testing of the storage link usb port on the back of the wrt160nl was with a cheap unpowered usb hub,,,
and two different usb hard drives. One an 80gig WD Passpost (western digital) usb bus powered, and one wall powered simple tech 500gig 5.5" hard drive. Both operated as expected when plugged directly into the linksys storage link port.

The next part of the test was preformed by plugging a four way usb unpowerd hub to the wrt160nl, and connecting both drives at any old port as the design of the device did not lend itself to determining the shortest path or any more electricly stable route without diassembly. This resulted in a non accessable western digital hard drive that showed a powered up state light. With out futher testing I can NOT assume, that this is either usb bus voltage issue or a usb controller boundry although I expect the latter.
These tests were also performed under the stock LINKSYS factory firmware. LINKSYS BY CISCO WRT160NL WIRELESS N ROUTER WITH STORAGE LINK ======
