SPEED BOOSTER, What is it? SpeedBooster is the Linksys branded name of the Afterburner technology developed by Broadcom. Broadcom, manufacturing many of the processing units inside the linksys wrt54g family of wireless routers including the wrt54g-tm wifi router,,


,,may not be enabled in the stock versions of the linksys firmware, and may only be enabled in some third party firmware such as DD-WRT, If the wireless router is using a broadcom cpu.
The speedbooster framebursting performance enhancements are only noticeable if both Linksys wireless routers have the speedbooster function enabled, it is off by default in most wifi link configurations. Thus more then one Speedbooster devices are required to take advantage of any gains in wifi link speed. ======
